Seeding
Zucchini plants need plenty of space due to their large leaves, extending vines, and sizable fruit. Place one hole in the soil in the middle of your grow bag, and plant 2-3 seeds to give the plant enough room to thrive. Thin to 1 plant once they have sprouted.

Cut or gently twist fruits from the vine when they have reached the desired size. Flowers are also edible. Zucchini grow fast so check plants daily once they begin producing fruit.
Garden Tips
While our squash does not require trellising, it is common practice to use stakes or cages for other varieties of squash and vining plants. This method helps reduce disease risk by keeping plants off the ground and is a good technique to implement with plants that require support.
Plants well with... Radishes
As soon as it is warm enough to plant zucchini outside, radishes can be planted alongside it. Due to the shorter harvest cycle of radishes, they will be harvested in enough time to allow the zucchini seeds space to fully develop. Follow this planting pattern.
