Our Grantees TwiddleU Inc

TwiddleU’s Giving Garden is a therapeutic, community-based initiative supporting neurodiverse and Autistic children and their families through hands-on gardening and food justice programming. Our participants, primarily from low-income, historically underserved communities, gain vital life skills and nourishment by growing, harvesting, and preparing food together.

TwiddleU provides therapeutic, hands-on gardening and food education programs tailored for neurodiverse and Autistic children and their families. We serve over 100 families annually, the majority of whom are BIPOC, low-income, and urban-based. Our key programs include adaptive gardening workshops, Backyard Garden Starter Kits, a sensory-accessible garden, and seasonal harvest feasts.

Our impact goes beyond planting—families gain skills in composting, food preparation, and sustainable growing. Participants report increased confidence, healthier eating habits, and stronger family connections. Our work builds pathways to independent living, food security, and intergenerational resilience.
