Terra BIRDS educates and empowers youth through gardening. We combine environmental stewardship, urban habitat restoration, and food production in K-12 schools and offer sustainability oriented jobs to local young people.
Our School Gardens Program provides garden education to over 2,200 students per year in Flagstaff, Page, and Grand Canyon, Arizona. This program ensures that local youth receive continuous, culturally-rooted, nature-based garden education; inspiring a generation to care about nature and grow their own food.
Our BIRDS@Work Program gives sustainability-oriented jobs to 35-45 youth per year, helping to build a diverse community of informed and active young people who advocate for our planet and grow food for their families and neighbors.
