Hood Huggers Foundation restores the regenerative well-being of historically marginalized communities through the arts, environment, and social enterprise. We envision a culture of sustainability that builds pathways to meaningful work, joyful rest, and shared prosperity.
Hood Huggers Foundation serves nearly 4,000 people each year through a holistic model that unites urban agriculture, workforce development, cultural preservation, and climate resilience. From the Peace Gardens & Market farm, to our workforce pipeline preparing young adults for living-wage careers, to cultural tourism that lifts up Black Asheville’s history, our programs are transforming lives and landscapes. At the center of it all is Blue Note Junction, an emerging resiliency hub that integrates these efforts into a powerful vision for community sustainability and affordable housing.
