Global One Urban Farming is a nonprofit based in Kansas City working to end food insecurity and promote health and environmental justice through regenerative urban agriculture. We empower youth, families, and seniors by growing and distributing fresh food, teaching sustainable farming practices, and transforming vacant land into thriving community gardens.
Global One Urban Farming serves over 3,000 people annually through free food distribution, youth development, volunteer days and community wellness programs. We transform vacant lots into vibrant gardens, growing over 6,000 pounds of produce each year for seniors, veterans, and families living in a USDA-defined food desert. Our key programs include youth-led entrepreneurship, hands-on farming education, pollinator garden development, and wellness events featuring massages, healthy meals, and cultural programming. In 2024, we added two new high tunnels, cleared over 10,000 square feet of land, and hosted more than 20 volunteer and educational events.
