Up to ⅓ of outer mature leaves may be harvested without damaging the growth of the roots before pulling. To harvest roots, pull the entire plant out of the ground. The whole plant is edible.

Garden Tips
Turnips originate from Europe and Central Asia as one of the earliest cultivated crops. They became a widely grown staple during the Middle Ages, particularly in medieval Europe, where they were a crucial part of the peasant diet due to their hardiness and ability to thrive in poor soil. Turnips also play a key role in crop rotation systems, helping improve soil fertility.
