Seeding

Dill plants can grow up to 4 feet tall and 1 ½ feet wide. Therefore, dill can require a significant amount of space to grow. To plant dill in your grow bag, create one hole in the center of the soil. Place 2-3 seeds in the soil, planting them ¼” deep. Lightly cover the seeds with soil and water.  Once the seedlings have sprouted, thin to 1 plant.

Garden Tips

Dill is a versatile plant that can be used at all stages of growth. Its feathery aromatic leaves add fresh flavor to dishes, while the yellow umbrella-shaped flowers and spicy seeds are perfect for pickling. To encourage a more well rounded plant, pinch off the top of the plant once it reaches 12” tall.
