We lead community farms in disinvested communities in Cook County. At our farms, we grow fresh, healthy, organic foods, facilitate job training and educational programs, and provide beautiful and welcoming community green spaces, where residents can cultivate relationships with their neighbors and the land.
At our farms, we grow over forty different fruits, vegetables, and herbs, which we provide to residents within a 5 mile radius of our farms. 50% of our food is sold at an affordable price and the other 50% is donated to food pantries and senior and public housing facilities. We also utilize our farms as spaces for job training, educational programming, and community events. These initiatives empower residents and organizations with the skills and resources to grow their own food, lead healthier lives, and build relationships with their neighbors and the land. Through all of our programs and services, we impact over 8,500 people on an annual basis.
