Healthy Day Partners designs and supports sustainable food growing programs that empower food-and-nutrition-insecure individuals and communities to take action against local hunger and climate change.
Our Key Programs are:
Straight 2 the Plate® Mobile Garden Classroom
An innovative, mobile hunger-relief program that has empowered more than 37,000 food-insecure families to grow their own food – building self-reliance and reducing dependence on handouts.
Homegrown Hunger Relief
A community-powered initiative where home gardeners grow and donate produce for their local food pantries. To date, the program has collected over 67,000 pounds of fresh, homegrown produce to nourish neighbors in need.
Healthy Communities Fruit Tree Program
In partnership with utilities, municipalities, grocery stores, and County leaders, we plant hundreds of fruit trees and orchards in low-income neighborhoods. These trees provide both beauty and bounty as a lasting source of healthy food, creating equitable access for decades to come.
