Community Reach & Impact

Since 2022, Black Lives Veggies has donated over $5,000 to support the growth and sustainability of local community gardens.

Educational programs have already reached more than 50 families, equipping them with the skills and tools needed to grow their own food.

Through its partnership with Austin’s public housing system, the organization is bringing food education and garden infrastructure directly into under-resourced communities.

The nonprofit’s four-tier model—centered on gardening education, garden expansion, produce-based entrepreneurship, and community empowerment—creates a scalable path from food access to long-term economic and environmental resilience.
