Join us on September 23, 2023 at the School of Liberal Studies at Savannah High for two in-person professional learning sessions that will get you growing. This gathering is an opportunity to learn, share, and prepare for your school’s new Learning Garden.
Session 1: 9:30-11:30AM
For Learning Garden grantees building their gardens this fall only.
LEARNING GARDEN SETUP
Dive into a hands-on training session to construct your new Learning Garden. Our pros will guide you step-by-step through assembling the garden beds from start to finish.
*At least one member of your school’s garden team must attend this session, but you are welcome to send up to two team members.*
Session 2: 11:30AM-1:30PM
For all Jumpstart grantees and any school interested in bringing garden education to life!
LEARNING, TEACHING, & EATING IN THE GARDEN
Connect with other Savannah educators and school garden champions over a garden-to-classroom lunch, explore firsthand teaching in the garden activities you can bring to your students, and dig in and get your hands in the dirty planting in the garden you built during session 1!
*At least one member of your team must attend this session, but we encourage you to extend the invitation to up to four members of your garden team.*

Please note, session one is a training session for Fall Cohort grantees that are receiving a Big Green Learning Garden in Fall 2023. If you are applying for the Spring Cohort or not receiving a Learning Garden in the fall, this session is not tailored to you. However, we invite you to register for the 11:30AM session, Learning, Teaching, & Eating in the Garden!
