Our mission is to cultivate joyful connections with the natural world through outdoor learning and edible education!
PEAS fosters exploration and awakens a sense of wonder through its educational programs. The organization recognizes and values the individual learning styles and unique experiences of each child, and seeks to nurture their curiosity through interactive, hands-on learning activities conducted outdoors and in kitchen settings. We serve 5476 students in 32 area schools in our outreach programming, as well as host summer camps, Professional Development, and Consulting. PEAS also has a Community Farm and Urban Orchard. 81% of teachers surveyed observed students who typically struggle to engage in the classroom, meaningfully engaged in PEAS lessons!
