Raised in the Garden State, Margarita grew up collecting and dissecting plants.
She went to Rutgers University where she received a BS in Agricultural Plant Science. She has worked with Rutgers Cooperative Extension as an intern, AmeriCorps VISTA, and project staff, working in plant and soil science education. When not tending to plants, Margarita likes to visit museums, read books, paint, and go hiking.
Laura was born and raised in Calexico, CA. She later attended Cal State, Long Beach and double majored in Human Development and Chicano and Latino Studies. She lived in Japan for two years and travelled all over Asia. Laura also attended Le Cordon Bleu and graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts. She loves to travel, cook, and garden - and is now the co-chair of Fountain Community Gardens where she shares a plot with her husband.
